A Walk with Nobility
Take a stroll through time with Hawaiian cultural expert Kahoaka Meheula‐Solomon as he recounts the events of Hawaii's royal past in a guided two-hour group walk around Waikiki.
The tour begins at the E Ola Kawainui Library in the lobby of the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort where art by historian Herb Kawainui Kane and a collection of cultural treasures begin the story of the first migrations of Polynesians to the Hawaiian Islands. The tour makes stops at
- Kukalepa Memorial fronting the Army Museum at Fort DeRussy Park. The memorial is a tribute to fallen Hawaiian warriors of ancient times.
-ワイキキの入り口にあるダビドカラカウア王の像。 ハワイの19 30世紀の「メリーモナーク」はフラを復活させ、「イオラニ宮殿」の建設を命じました。
- The statue of Princess Victoria Ka`iulani Cleghorn near the site of her former estate, `Ainahau. Princess Ka`iulani was one of Hawaii's last heirs to the throne and a beloved friend of poet Robert Louis Stevenson.
The tour ends at the lobby of Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort where a koa canoe over a hundred years old and rare heirlooms reveal more of Hawaii's royal heritage.
This complimentary walking tour is offered to guests of Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort.
