「フラ・リタ」カクテルレシピ
If you love tropical cocktails, then have we got a treat for you.
We're sharing the recipe to one of our current favorite cocktails: the Hula-Rita from Hula Grill Waikiki in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort.
A deliciously different take on the traditional margarita, this perfect-for-summer cocktail brings together the nutty and sweet (and award-winning) flavors of Kapena Li Hing Infused Tequila—an infusion of 100% Blue Weber Agave tequila with sweet dried Asian plum—with a special tropical passion puree.
Summer Crush
Known for an abundance of exotic produce, especially during the peak season, the Hawaii islands provide a bounty of ultra-fresh fruits. From the prickly skinned breadfruit to the nutrient-rich guava to the versatile island star the coconut, these beautiful summer stars are perfect for everything from cocktails to smoothies to food-truck faves.
The Hula-Rita continues this summer tradition of oceanside cocktails and pairs perfectly with Hula Grill go-to’s like the Crab and Macadamia Nut Wontons and the Guava BBQ Chicken. And, of course, the restaurant’s aforementioned classic Hula Pie.
With spectacular ocean views, Hula Grill is a must for both locals and tourists alike. Great for Instagram shots, happy hour, and everything from brunch to lat(er) night, this hotspot is a must while you’re in town. And you can always pop downstairs for a little more iconic, live-music action—and really great food—at Duke’s Waikiki.
The Island Dreams Continue
If you want to extend the tequila-inspired cocktailing, try your own self-paced tequila tour at other Waikiki hotspots like Kani Ka Pila Grill and the island’s largest brewery Maui Brewing Co. The island’s first craft brewery, Maui Brewing's Hard Seltzers continue the island-fruit fun with fan favorites like POG (Passionfruit, Orange, Guava), Citrus, and Dragon Fruit.
Or check out Maui Brewing's equally island-inspired Lei’d Lychee Cocktail, a concoction of Maui Pau Vodka and Soho Lychee Liquor—or the famous Pineapple Mana Wheat and the Coconut Hiwa Porter.
For the full Waikiki experience, continue for a three-day weekend of fun at Waikiki Beachcomber, Hawaii’s only craft hotel, or Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. Happy Hula-Rita-filled summer!
