アウトリガーの「サステイナブル・サマー」で、楽しみながら海も保護
Gorgeous views. Connection to the local lands. Unparalleled service.
And a longstanding commitment to protecting the environment with every stay.
We are as passionate about the planet as we are about our guests. This Earth Day, we not only hosted awesome activist art and fashion shows in Hawaii but also announced Outrigger's pledge to be the first hospitality brand to be Green Seal-certified globally, including benchmarking metrics for reduction of energy, water, and waste at each of our hotels. And our OZONE initiative has already planted over 100 football fields of coral in places like Fiji, Mauritius, and the Maldives.
Our Outrigger Sustainable Summer series extends this commitment via guest-centered, eco-conscious local events, retailer and restaurant discounts, and onsite pop-ups around the world.
In Hawaii's world-famous surf spot Waikiki, guests got to hang ten with a festive art exhibit at Hawaii's only craft hotel, Waikiki Beachcomber. Surf photographer Zak Noyle's latest works were on display poolside at the hotel as part of its hip Terrace of Modern Art (TOMA), with proceeds benefitting the Surfrider Foundation. You can also take a peek at Zak's permanent art throughout the hotel, with a 75-foot "under the sea" image in the elevator lobby and ocean imagery in each guestroom. After art gazing, sip on cool cocktails like the Sustainable Summer special edition Shandy Shave Ice cocktail at the onsite Maui Brewing Co. and snap some golden, Insta-worthy moments.
Five-star Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort's traditional bure bungalows and signature Talai butler service are complemented by an ocean-themed cocktail of the month as part of their take on Sustainable Summer. Ocean movie nights on the resort's Baravi lawn also bring the beauty of the ocean to life on the big screen, and guests can buy World Ocean Day tees to benefit the Save Our Oceans fund.
Over on the stunning, perfect-for-all island of Mauritius, kids take center stage for Sustainable Summer fun with Kids Club activities like interactive Marine Life "do's and don'ts," World Ocean Day coloring booklets, and other cool games at beachfront resort Outrigger Mauritius. For the adults, limited-edition cocktails at onsite restaurant, Le Bleu, let you sip and save the environment, with a portion of proceeds donated to local ocean nonprofits. And you'll also indulge in island cuisine with peace of mind knowing seafood is sustainably harvested, with the recent removal of Swordfish from the menu to protect this nearly endangered species.
