A Golden Anniversary, Fiji-style
2016 was a year full of exciting changes here at Outrigger. From awards and accolades to new ownership, we had lots to celebrate. Of course, we can't forget that one of our 37 properties celebrated its golden anniversary of providing signature hospitality to guests.
Located in the heart of Fiji’s Mamanuca Island group, Castaway Island, Fiji Resort hosts and loyal guests joined together in 50th anniversary activities that were flawlessly carried out in November after months of preparation and planning.
From coral planting to Fijian meke (traditional dance), Kava ceremonies to snorkeling lessons, and of course, gala celebrations with cocktails and entertainment, it’s safe to say that the celebration was quite a festivity.
The magic of the resort is enhanced only by the genuine warmth and hospitality of our vuvale who welcome guests back year after year to experience their bula spirit in the land of smiles.
